Build AI Solutions That Solve Real World Problems
Have an idea that could solve a real problem?
Join AI Ideathon 2026, a three day online AI hackathon where students, developers, designers, founders, entrepreneurs, researchers, working professionals, and AI enthusiasts come together to turn ideas into working AI powered solutions.
Across three days, you will learn from industry experts, attend practical workshops, receive mentorship, build your solution, and present it to industry judges.
Whether you are exploring AI for the first time or already building products, AI Ideathon 2026 gives you the guidance, tools, and exposure needed to move from an idea to a working prototype.

Explore how startups in Japan are using AI to solve real problems. Industry founders and ecosystem leaders will discuss current trends, opportunities for builders, startup stories, and practical lessons for launching AI products.
Participants will also learn about accelerators, startup communities, and resources available to aspiring founders.

What to Solve: From Idea to AI Product
Learn how to identify meaningful problems, validate ideas, understand target users, and define a clear value proposition.
By the end of the workshop, each team should have a validated problem statement, an initial solution concept, and a roadmap for building its minimum viable product.

AI Integration: 30 percent Innovation: 25 percent User Experience: 20 percent Technical Execution: 15 percent Impact and Feasibility: 10 percent

No previous hackathon experience is required.
Participation Rules
- The event is open to participants worldwide.
- Participants may compete individually or in teams of up to four members.
- Every participant must complete an individual registration.
- Projects must be developed during the event.
- Existing open source libraries, application programming interfaces, frameworks, and AI tools are permitted.
- Participants must clearly explain how AI is integrated into their solutions.
- All submitted work must be original.
- Projects must follow responsible and ethical AI practices.
- Harmful, offensive, or illegal content will result in immediate disqualification.
- Every submission must be completed before the official deadline.
- The judges’ decisions will be final.
